Optimizing the production line to deliver innovation across the supply chain
Ever since I was a kid, I have always wanted to work in healthcare. In high school, my favorite class was genetics. It was both logical and mysterious which I found it fascinating.
I studied biotechnology in Paris and Spain at “École de Biologie Industrielle” where I got my engineering degree. I also have a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from ESSEC Business School in Paris and Singapore.
Before joining SOPHiA GENETICS I worked for several big pharmaceutical companies in Paris and in Italy where I learned how to manage people, processes and software. At one of my former companies, we were producing 1 million capsules a day. I was in charge of optimizing the production line while communicating with multiple teams in three languages. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun! But after a while, I wanted to become part of a work environment focused on patients and new technologies. Most importantly, I wanted to work closely with the products, to be able to touch them and analyze them in a more direct and impactful way.
When I saw SOPHiA GENETICS was looking for production associate, I immediately applied and a month later I was here! As a traveler, I was excited to be part of such a global and diverse team with people from all over the world.
As Production Manager, I work in a team of two and together we are involved in almost the entire supply chain from materials to quality control, production and shipment. I collaborate with several departments across the company, including Marketing and Bioinformatics, to better understand each product and gain in-depth knowledge of the safety procedures for each of them. Having this much direct control and collaboration is really inspiring.
What’s exciting about my job at SOPHiA GENETICS is that no two days are alike. As time goes by, I get the opportunity to work on new challenges and projects. At SOPHiA GENETICS, you always get opportunities to try new things and you also get feedback on your work. Everyone is very focused on innovating and constantly finding new solutions and ways to improve processes to optimize workflows.
People come from all over the world to be part of the SOPHiA GENETICS mission to democratize Data-Driven Medicine. I love working in this diverse environment and getting direct feedback from coworkers and suppliers. You can actually see that your work has an impact. For me, that's what really makes SOPHiA GENETICS a great place to work.
