I love numbers. Even at a young age, math was always my hobby.

Before joining SOPHiA GENETICS, I had lived in Montreal for 25 years. It was there that I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics.

After graduating, I always found myself in positions where I was working with customers. I started out in the retail industry and founded my own retail business before joining a national Canadian retail brand where I worked as the Commercial Director for more than 10 years. I love working with people, but I also love analyzing numbers and using those insights to try new things and create a strong forward-thinking plan.

About three years ago, my husband was offered a job at SOPHiA GENETICS and we moved to Switzerland. Once we relocated, I got this opportunity at SOPHiA as a Sales Operations Manager.

Today, in my role I manage the sales operations and back office teams. And of course, I work with a lot of numbers! I spend a lot of time in our CRM, forecasting, reporting, helping with inside sales and much more. Being the first person to see the numbers, compare them, analyze and present them is both challenging and thrilling.

We have a strong, supportive culture and the spirit here is awesome. I’m constantly growing and being challenged. You have to be willing to go out of your comfort zone. But what keeps me excited is knowing that I work for a company that can make a difference in people’s lives.

Beginning of April this year, the team grew significantly and I really enjoy working with the people in it. We’re based all over the world, with one person in Switzerland, five in France and one in the USA. We communicate together regularly, thus leading to incredible team spirit.

We have an amazing multicultural environment with probably more than 30 languages. Everyone has a different skill set and everyone supports each other. Of course, there are challenges, but you never wonder, ‘Why are we doing this?’ There are real people and real patients behind all these numbers.

The work at SOPHiA GENETICS is anything but repetitive. We’re always looking for ways to make things better and more efficient. If you love a challenge, love to learn and believe in a mission that’s about helping people, you can achieve anything here.
